As per request we are going west. Across to Birdsville, down the Birdsville Track and back through Cameron Corner. Our tri state tour will take in Outback Australia. The three corners for the adventurers, sand dunes including the famous 'Big Red', the picturesque 'Lake Eyre' the largest salt water lake in the world! Followed by the rugged landscapes of Arkaroola, just to name a few of the attractions.

Throughout our journey, there will be fun to be had by all with Trivia night, movie nights, fireworks, games, hair and hat night, theme night, and don't forget our Logi Award Winning Talent Quest.

During our travels there are many sights to see including the land in which the Afghanistans (The Ghans) and their camels were so prolific in establishing.

This years safari offers challenging driving conditions and promises you some of the best views, sunrises and sunsets that the Australian Outback has to offer. We hope that you can join us in this outback adventure.

All the committee would love to say a very big thank you to all that travelled with us last year. Without your support we would not be able to raise the funds we do for local charities. As a result of last years safaris we were able to support the following charities: Lightning Ridge SES, Lightning Ridge Ambulance, Lightning Ridge Central School, Lightning Ridge Tourist Association, Lightning Ridge UHA, Lightning Ridge Blue Light, Opal FM and others.

We would like to welcome our committee for this year and thank last year's committee. Once again we will have our support team travelling with us: NSW police, Lightning Ridge Ambulance and SES members, our enroute mechanic, and all the other committee members.

We hope that you will be able to join us on this year's outback adventure in the September-October school holidays (NSW). Please remember that the safari is not a race, but a chance to travel with support and enjoy some of what this great country of ours has to offer, take your time and have a look around.
