Expo provides unique business opportunities

Business operators, entrepreneurs and investors from throughout the world will converge on Dubbo later this year for a major international expo, creating trade and investment opportunities for businesses from rural NSW.

The Orana Trade and Investment Expo will be held in Dubbo from October 30 to November 2, attracting national and international business people looking for opportunities to expand their operations and secure import and export markets in Australia.

Project Coordinator, Kim Chandler said the Expo would provide a window of opportunity for astute business people, especially those looking for the chance to expand and or diversify their operations to overcome the effects of the current drought.

“The Orana Trade and Investment Expo will attract not only people wanting to invest in Australia, but also people looking to import Australian products and export overseas goods, and they will in turn need associated services to support them,” Mrs Chandler said.

Opportunities are now available for businesses, entrepreneurs and inventors to exhibit their products, ideas and services at the four-day Expo, which will bring investors from throughout Asia, Saudi Arabia, India and Australia to Dubbo.

“This Expo will be the place for entrepreneurs and investors trying to get their dreams off the ground, for businesses seeking an injection of capital to expand and grow, and for organisations already trading overseas to showcase their products,” Mrs Chandler said.

“Local councils will also have the chance to showcase tourism and economic development by promoting the existing industries and development opportunities of their regions.”

Exhibitors from throughout the Orana Region, including the 18 local government areas, as well as Mudgee, Parkes, Forbes and Condobolin, are invited to take part in the exhibition.

The Expo will also bring the support of industry groups such as AusIndustry, AusTrade Invest Australia and the NSW Department of State and Regional Development to provide help and specific assistance to businesses as they embark on new projects.
