As you all know, the Olympic Pool and Theme park were closed on April 2 2002 and although during last spring and summer the weather wasn't constant with the seasons, more cool than usual, all went without a hitch.
Thanks to these super terrific members of our community: Carol Ramsay, Gaye Righini, Eva Bellicka, Gail Cremonessi and Simone Mallouk.
This is a tough task for me, for the life of me I can't find or think of adequate enough words to express our gratitude for their selfless and untiring volunteer work at the Pool and Sports Centre canteens during all last season, except that they are the greatest, most wonderful true blue dinky-di group of beautiful community minded ladies I know.
They are the silent achievers. May your kindness be returned to you a hundredfold.
On behalf of the Lightning Ridge community, wholeheartedly, thanks a lot.
Next season the Olympic Pool and Water Theme Park will reopen on September 28 2002.
