A generous gesture from Japan Mr Akira and Mrs Hiroko Ida, from Japan, visited Lightning Ridge from August 6, 2001. They were soo impressed when told that the Lightning Ridge community built the Sports Centre and the Pool complex that they decided to join us by donating $Aus1,000. Welcome and thanks a million Mr and Mrs Ida, you are part of the team who makes it happen. You Akira and Hiroko are now citizens of Planet Lightning Ridge.
