| ANZAC Day at the Sheepyards
![]() ANZAC Day at the Sheepyards dawned bright and clear. Over a hundred people turned out for the Memorial Service which was ably conducted by Norm Jones. The opening prayers were said by Vern Kite and Norm Jones paid tribute to the servicemen and women. A wreath, which was beautifully made by Karola Ronold, was laid by Graham Pickles. Rodney Atkinson thanked Mr and Mrs Pickles for organising the day; Reg Blanch for his contribution of flags and memorabilia; Vern and Robyn Kite for cooking the wonderful breakfast; and Alan Stranoch "Gingie Joe" for displaying his 1943 model army jeep which he has restored to immaculate condition. It was pleasing to see so many people in our small community paying tribute to our fallen, God bless you all. Rene Houghton
